Nanananananananananananananana BATMAN

Here at Anna K, Jaimi and I hold dear to our hearts activities such as sticky-beaking at the new offerings from Alexander Wang, salivating over what Proenza Schouler has brought to the table, or at Rodarte’s ingenious creations. (Essentially we are slaves to style.com)

We took inspiration from the dark and moody styles of the aforementioned designers to concoct a little teaser photo shoot of what you can expect from Anna K this winter.
Implementing a colour palette of black, deep, opulent purples and burgundy, and lace, leather and velvet as our staple fabrics, our mood was dramatic, tough and heavily reminiscent of vintage glamour and antique interiors.

Things of this nature will be coming to a store near you (this one) so keep your eyes on the prize and don’t be a stranger x

MAN-OH-MAN

Right, we’re all on track to have 17 menswear items listed by Friday afternoon (12th February). Expect shoes, blazers, cardigans and shirts in a mash-up of tasty prints and a decent size-range that does not discriminate against:
a) skinny girly boys nor;
b) broad-shouldered gym goers.

Next thing to report on is the upcoming collection for the ladies. This stuff is a bunch of all different pieces; with a general emphasis on subtle details and interesting fabrics.

Our buddy Laura helped out and succeeded in looking like a SUPERBABE if we ever saw one:

But Anna is a girl’s name?

We are giddy with excitement to inform that Anna K will be taking a more masculine direction with the next collection.Unfortunately for the girls we don’t mean boyfriend jeans and big t-shirts; no-siree. We’ll be testing the MENSWEAR waters and bringing the boys lashings of paisley shirts, high collars, well-cut blazers, printed cardigans and sexy shoes.
The by-product of our endeavour will hopefully involve your staple pair of jeans, held up with a nice-looking belt, paired with our shirts, blazers and sometimes ties to create looks that blur the boundaries of fun, flamboyant dressing and tasteful, polished dressing.
(The two really should co-exist more regularly).

Drawing inspiration largely from The Beatles and people on the street who know what’s up, we recognise the substantial gap in the online vintage menswear market that is stinging to be filled.
